DNS Template

Back

The records that every new domain's zone gets. Changes apply to new zones; to change the existing ones, use Apply DNS Template Changes.

In the values: <domain> = the domain, <ip> / <ipv6> = the addresses of the server, <ns1> / <ns2> = the nameservers, <hostname> = the name of the server. A record with <ip> or <ipv6> is left out when the server has no such address.

The values of the SOA record of every zone.

The nameservers of the server: every zone has them as NS records; the registrars of the domains must point to them. Their names need A records (glue) at the registrar of their domain.

Empty = the value shown in gray. The second one should be another server (a slave).
Their IP addresses, one per line: they may transfer every zone and are notified of changes.
Configuration of a slave
For a slave with BIND 9.18 or newer: it takes every zone of this server by itself (catalog zone).
